Net (German: netto) refers to the amount excluding VAT. In Lexware and in reports, the distinction between net and gross is central because tax, liquidity, and internal steering ask different questions. Teams must know which metric they are currently reading — otherwise false comparisons between instances arise.
Central Command uses voucher and revenue data from Lexware and shows amounts in the context of status and instance. Whether a view emphasizes net or gross depends on the use case: controlling often thinks net, while incoming payments and customer communication more often think gross. Clarity in labels and filters prevents misunderstandings.
As always: Lexware remains the System of Record for amounts and tax logic. Central Command caches and aggregates for speed and multi-instance overview. Net is therefore not a feature in itself but part of a clean metrics vocabulary — a prerequisite for reliable steering in agencies, holdings, and the Mittelstand.
