A workspace in Clockify is the organizational container for projects, clients, and time entries. Permissions and members are attached to the workspace. Companies use one or more workspaces, depending on how they separate clients or internal areas.
Central Command retrieves Clockify data per workspace. The connection must target the right workspace and key, otherwise hours or statistics will be missing. Syncs mirror the data set into the cache; the UI reads employee and project contexts from it.
Workspace clarity prevents data chaos. Wrongly chosen workspaces create blind spots in assignment and reporting. In the command center, the workspace is therefore both a configuration requirement and a domain boundary — entirely analogous to the Lexware instance on the commercial voucher side. A clean workspace choice saves a lot of rework later.
