Assignment (German: Zuordnung) connects things that belong together: an order confirmation with an invoice, a voucher with a Clockify project, time entries with employees. Without assignments, data remains islands. With assignments, a narrative emerges: work delivered, voucher issued, payment received.
Central Command supports manual and derived assignments. Some links come from Lexware, others are deliberately maintained by teams. Especially in multi-instance setups, assignment requires discipline so that reports do not mix what must stay separate.
Assignments are maintenance work with high leverage. They improve employee statistics, open item billing logic, and everyday work in the dashboard. The command center makes them visible and editable where intended — and reminds us that good steering often lies in the connections, not just in isolated individual numbers.
