System of Record refers to the system that counts as the authoritative truth for a given piece of information. Maintaining data twice in two systems creates drift and disputes. That is why integration needs clear leadership: where is data created, where is it merely mirrored?
For Central Command, Lexware is the System of Record for vouchers and tenant data. Clockify manages time entries, Timebutler manages absences. Central Command aggregates and steers but does not write a parallel set of books. Caches are derivatives, not a competing truth.
This demarcation protects compliance and nerves alike. Changes belong in the upstream system; the command center shows their effect. The architecture, the UI copy, and this glossary deliberately emphasize this role. Anyone who accepts it uses Central Command correctly: as a control layer, not as a replacement product.
